I'm not
an expert or a master, just a simple student of the arts.
By
distancing myself from one track minded budoka, I've learned to see more than
just a Pak Sao or gyakku. It's hard to talk
to people who look at a picture but can't see the brush strokes.
I don't
use titles to make myself feel important. My training group members refer to me
by whatever they wish.
I do
not worship any art or Grandmaster. I respect them all but learn from several
sources not one. There is no "best" art.
I've
made horrible mistakes in the past, many I'll never forgive myself for. A few
people constantly remind me of my mistakes in order to make themselves feel better.
I wish them a happy life.
I'm not
affiliated or aligned with any organization/group. Budo politics are not my cup
of tea.
My #1
priority is my son and showing him the right path.
I will
not fail at making ICS a home to those who care for Budo.
I do not
care if you are Black, Asian, Jewish, White, Hispanic, Homosexual or Heterosexual. I treat you by how you treat me.
I never
have or never will strike a weaker person in anger.
I will
never smoke, consume or touch any illegal narcotics. (Don't care if it’s
medicinal or not).
I
promise to work hard to keep food and roof for my family.
I fear
no evil, the shadow and the valley are mine.
That's
who I am, nothing more nothing less...
